Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Level 1 ABA Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly those on the autism spectrum. This role involves implementing individualized treatment plans, collecting data on patient progress, and collaborating with families to promote positive behavioral changes. The ABA Specialist will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients through evidence-based practices.
Duties
- Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies to support clients in achieving their goals.
- Conduct patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to develop tailored treatment plans.
- Collect and analyze data on client behavior and progress, ensuring accurate medical documentation.
- Collaborate with families and other professionals to provide comprehensive care and support.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of medical records.
- Provide patient care that is respectful, empathetic, and responsive to individual needs.
- Engage in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in behavioral health.
Requirements
- Experience working with children, particularly those diagnosed with autism or other developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.
- Familiarity with special education practices and working with people with disabilities.
- Strong skills in data collection, medical terminology, and medical documentation.
- Ability to conduct intake assessments and maintain accurate medical records.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
